This is a Walthers 933-3307 Fairfield Station Kit. The Fairfield Depot kit features a snap together assembly of major components, without the need for glue. The bay window and platform are classic features included in the kit. For variety, the eaves can be built one of two ways, with eastern and western style gable brackets that allow for be easy customization. Interior lighting in the O/O-27 Gauge kit adds a degree of realism to any layout. A depot was one of the most important buildings in a town because it was the first structure visitors saw upon arrival. A great source of pride for the townspeople, the depot was a familiar and welcoming structure for travelers far from home. The depot usually served as a freight storage room and office for the agent who did everything from washing windows to delivering telegrams. Because every town accessible by railways needs a depot, creating a town around the Fairfield Depot is more than just a possiblity. When assembled it measures 13-1/2 x 7 x 5-1/2 inches.
