Description
This is a Busch 52719 HO Scale Assembled ABC Wagen 1970 Volkswagen Thing 181 Courier Wagon. ABC reconnaissance car (ABC-ErkKW) of the Munich Land ABC train. After the procurement of two prototypes by the Federal Office for Civil Protection in 1972, 198 further VW 181 courier cars were ordered for use as NBC reconnaissance vehicles after they had been successfully tested. The vehicles, which were designed in the typical orange paintwork with a black folding top, were then equipped with equipment carriers for loading, special signaling and radio systems in the central disaster control workshops.
